Beginning Your Counselling Journey with Me
Welcome — this is a safe and confidential space to begin understanding yourself, to feel heard, and to start making sense of your thoughts and experiences.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been holding things in for a long time or aren’t quite sure where to begin. You may simply know that something doesn’t feel right, or that you'd like to understand yourself better and make sense of the challenges you’re facing. Counselling offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin untangling what’s been weighing on you — in your own time and at your own pace.
Our Work Together
Our work together is about helping you feel truly heard, without judgement or expectation. In sessions, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with curiosity and compassion, allowing you to see patterns more clearly and begin to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface. Often, simply being listened to in a safe, consistent space can bring enormous relief and clarity.
How Counselling Can Help
Counselling can help with a wide range of issues — from anxiety, low self-esteem and grief, to relationship difficulties, loss of direction, or struggles with food and body image. Through this process, you can begin to build self-awareness, reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been lost or silenced, and develop a kinder, more balanced relationship with yourself and others.
Your First Session
There’s no right or wrong way to begin therapy. In our first sessions, we’ll simply talk about what’s brought you here and what you’d like to work towards. I’ll listen carefully, ask gentle questions, and support you in finding your own pace and direction. Together, we can create the conditions for real and lasting change — not by rushing, but by taking time to understand what matters most to you.
